Visiting Walled city of Intramuros in Manila
Intramuros is probably the most popular part of the town with over 500 years of history of Spanish Invasion in the Philippines. The walled city has a number of important landmarks including St. Augustin Church, Rizal's Shrine and war memorials from the second world war. The guide rickshaws offer tours for 2500 Pesos for 2.5 hours and the driver will take you to various sections of the walled city. Illustrado is a very nice cafe/restaurant offering a good mix of Spanish and Italian food. The Augustin Church is definitely a must-visit location with plenty of historical artifacts, memorabilia and artwork capturing the important era of Spanish invasion and Rule in the Philippines.
