    A trip to Thailand is not complete without visiting the magical islands of the south. Phuket has been the centre of tourist activities since the 1970s with a rich culture of holiday resorts and amazing beach parties all throughout the years. The southern part of Thailand is the home to some of the most beautiful beaches and coastal landscapes. A long strip of land called Kra Isthmus lined with breath-taking beaches and thick jungles in the middle.

    Tourism has picked up in the region in the last ten years or so and there is plenty of option for custom safaris & adventures trips with experienced guides. Phuket's must-see beaches include Kata, Karon, Patong and Nai Harn Beach. In this article, I am exploring some popular places and activities I undertook during my visit to Phuket in mid-2019.

Kuala Terengganu is quite popular with people accessing the Perhentian Islands, Palau Redang and Kapas Islands which offer some of the best diving and snorkelling locations on the East Coast of Malaysia. Most of the international tourist uses Kuala Terengganu as a starting point of travelling to Perhentian Islands which attracts during peak season between March and November.

    Langkawi is one of the top-rated and most visited destinations in Malaysia. Stretching over more than 99 islands, Langkawi offers a wide range of activities for visitors. A general impression of looking at the map of the island, Langkawi seems like a small island where various points of attractions that are easily accessible. Contrary to that, once you land on the Island you will realise the stretch of covered and various locations on the island cannot be explored in a matter of a few days.

    Palau Kapas is a popular Island destination on East coast Malaysia because of its easy access from Kuala Terengganu and Kuantan. Kapas Island is an amazing destination for a day trip if you are staying Kuala Terengganu. Most tourist stopover KT to catch a ferry to Perhentian Islands where they normally stay for one or two nights. Paula Kapas offers easy access for families and travellers who do not want to spend a night at the Islands. I travelled to Paula Kapas in August 2019 which is great time of the year to explore this unique location. Here is some useful information if you are planning to explore Palau Kapas.
