Located parallel to Khao San this neighbourhood gives a very different perspective on the city. The area depicts how people used to live before the arrival of skyscrapers. The entire streets are like a horseshoe and take 30 minutes to walk. Night markets are lit up by beautiful lanterns and bars open on either side of the road.
This area is 1km north of Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew. This area has grown into a backpackers ghetto where backpackers from around the world congregate over cheap drinks. You can find plenty of bars and nightclubs and budget accommodation in this neighbourhood.
