Day tours in Phuket are a great way to explore some of the most popular tourist attractions in Phuket Thailand. Phuket, itself is very spread out and cannot be explored in a day. The tours are designed keeping in mind that visitors get to see most of what Phuket has to offer to the visitors.
During my last visit to Phuket, I spend a couple of days in the off-peak season (October). The rain is quite frequent during this tie of the year. Unluckily, the day I picked for the day tour was a rainy one. I decided to take the tour despite the rain.
The tour van arrives at the hotel reception by 8 am. Most bookings for the tours are finalized a day in advance for the operators to arrange for the tour managers and transport etc. Generally, most tours are very well organized and managed in a professional way.

Views from Karon Lookout
The first stop along the way is a very scenic Karon Lookout that commands amazing views of the western side of Phuket overlooking the ocean. The amazing views allow you to see a number of beach localities including Karon and Patong.
The baby elephant Suzy
The next stop takes you to meet the baby elephant Suzy on the way to Big Buddha Statue. The beautiful statue of Buddha is quite admirable with its calm posture and position on the top of the hill. The location has a general atmosphere of calmness and peace.
