Bentong is a popular tourist spot in Pahang known for its good food and night markets. I had in the past visited Tropicale Colmar in Berjaya Hills and Genting Highlands but somehow never ventured further along Highway E8 leading to Kuantan.

LOOKING are up for a long and adventurous drive through winding roads and lush green tea plantations and strawberry farms, you need to visit Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. Located 400 km Northeast of the city of Kuala Lumpur, Cameron Highlands it is easily accessible by a car or bus.

Desaru Coast is a highly sought-after destination situated on the southern edge of East Coast Malaysia. A mere 80 km drive from Johor Bahru via the convenient motorway E22 will lead you to this tropical paradise. As you exit onto Highway 90, the towering presence of 4 Points Sheraton will catch your eye, surrounded by a plethora of new developments, bustling markets, and vibrant shopping areas.

Genting Highlands Pahang Malaysia is one of the premier tourist destinations in Malaysia attractions millions of visitors from across the world as well as Malaysia. Genting is easily accessible from Kuala Lumpur which makes it a very popular destination for a day trip or a weekend break for the entire family. Covering a distance of 80 km on an uphill climb makes it popular for bike riders and sports car owners who speed up the winding road leading to the casinos.  

The Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru road trip in Malaysia is a great way to explore some amazing historical cities along the west coast of mainland Malaysia. I planned this trip in late August 2023 and decided to stop at some off-the-beaten-path locations on this route. Kuala Lumpur to Penang is a popular travel route for most road trippers and bike riders, as well as the intercity road infrastructure in Malaysia, which is world-class and offers an amazing driving experience.

The beautiful city of Ipoh is located around 200 km north of Kuala Lumpur. The driving distance from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh is around 2.5 hours using the freeway AH2 which connects Kuala Lumpur to some of the major cities in mainland Malaysia. I have undertaken several road trips from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh and Cameron Highland in the last 3 years. The best way to enjoy these interesting destinations is to organize a minimum of two nights' stay that will give you enough time to explore all areas of interest in these towns. 

Kuantan is the capital city of Pahang on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.I travelled to Kuantan from Kuala Terengganu in September 2019. The road trip takes around 2.5 hours and passes through a number of interesting and laid-back coastal towns including Kuala Dungan, Chukai, and Cherating. These coastal towns are popular for water sports and attract crowds from surrounding towns over the weekends. There are a number of seaside resorts along Cherating Beach.
